Description

This course gives an overview of the current and future technology for the oil and gas industry. The origins of fossil derived oil and gas, their safe production and processing provide the focus for the first part of the course. Also covered here are engineering calculations and theory for analysis and design of combustion systems. The second part of the course looks at four key biofuels (bio-ethanol, bio-diesel, bio-methane and bio-hydrogen) and considers their strategic importance and the technological challenges of viable large-scale production.
